Job Requirements
  • Bachelor of Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related fields.
  • 6+ years of experience in civil engineering and flood management-related projects.
  • Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, construction practices, and project management techniques.
  • Proficiency in TUFLOW, DRAINS/XP-Rafts, and MUSIC.
  • Excellent written communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience using MS Office and MS Project (desirable).
Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare flood studies, floodplain management plans and risk assessments.
  • Communicate flood conditions, government compliance requirements and the impacts of proposed development on flood conditions for upstream and downstream properties.
  • Manage communications between clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders while ensuring timely delivery of quality solutions.
  • Collaborate with other teams to deliver various projects across QLD.
  • Coordinate resources including team members, third-party contractors and/or consultants to deliver projects according to plan.
  • Ensure all work complies with local, state, and federal regulations and standards.
  • Implement quality control processes and document them.
  • Assist in managing project budgets, invoicing and variations where required.
  • Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Address client queries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
