Flood Management Specialist Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled Flood Management Specialist to join our Brisbane team. This role will suit someone looking to work on various projects in a friendly and supportive environment with a growing market leader. The position is located at our Brisbane Office, which is centrally located in the heart of the city's CBD.
Our company is a dynamic multi-disciplinary land development organization known for providing exceptional value to our clients. We are a rapidly growing business with five offices across NSW and Queensland. Our team consists of project managers, engineers, surveyors, and planners, and we have recently surpassed the 100-employee milestone.

Responsibilities:
- Preparation of flood studies, floodplain management plans, and risk assessments
- Communication of flood conditions, government compliance requirements, and the impacts of proposed development on flood conditions for upstream and downstream properties
- Manage communications between clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders while ensuring the delivery of quality and timely solutions
- Collaborate with other teams to deliver various projects across QLDCoordination of resources including team members, third-party contractors, and/or consultants to deliver projects according to the plan
- Ensure all work complies with local, state, and federal regulations and standards
- Ensure quality control processes are implemented and documented
- Assist in managing project budgets, invoicing, and variations where required
- BUILD AND MAINTAIN STRONG RELATIONSHIPS WITH STAKEHOLDERS BOTH INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL
- Address client queries and concerns in a timely and professional manner
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related fields
- 6+ years of experience in civil engineering and flood management-related projects
- Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, construction practices, and project management techniques
- Proficiency in TUFLOW, DRAINS/XP-Rafts, and MUSIC
- Strong client management skills with the ability to work to deadlines
- Excellent written communication and problem-solving skills
- Experience using MS Office and MS Project (desirable)
