Job Opportunity:

We are seeking an exceptional professional to lead our Flood Risk Management team. As the successful candidate, you will provide strategic direction and guidance to ensure the effective delivery of services related to floodplain management, risk assessment, and warning infrastructure.

About the Role:

  • Lead a specialist team responsible for developing and implementing strategic plans for flood risk management, including flood awareness initiatives and capability building programs.
  • Provide expert technical input and advice on projects and programs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Represent our organization in meetings and forums at local, district, and state levels, promoting our position and interests.
  • Maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including local governments and other agencies, to foster collaboration and information exchange.
  • Engage internal stakeholders, providing expert advice on queries, policy, and correspondence, and undertaking project duties of equivalent complexity as required.
