In the role of Director of Trade Solutions and Structuring, reporting directly to the Head of Structuring and Solutions, you will collaborate with colleagues in Global Banking and Commercial Banking to originate and structure intricate solutions that support both large and mid-sized domestic corporations, as well as multinational clients. Your technical expertise will be essential in assisting frontline GTS Business Development Managers in structuring tailored open account solutions, ensuring an exceptional customer experience.

You will be part of the world's largest Trade bank, focusing primarily on structured trade, engaging with various sectors, and utilizing your solution-oriented expertise with a diverse array of internal and external stakeholders, often at senior levels. Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive the development of structured propositions in GTS to senior stakeholders within Global Banking and Markets and Commercial Banking's Corporate divisions to ensure a steady flow of origination and proposals.
  • Utilize your technical knowledge in all Structured Trade products, including Receivables Finance, Asset Based Lending, Supply Chain Finance, and other structured open account solutions across various regions, applying your insights into market trends and developments.
  • Lead the creation and negotiation of customer-facing documents, pitch materials, and indicative term sheets.
  • Provide detailed financial benefit analyses and supporting documentation for each customer inquiry.
  • Remain informed about key market trends and competitors' positions continuously.
  • Facilitate Structured Trade learning and development for the GTS sales and relationship management teams.
  • Establish best practices in structuring complex transactions across all regions by fostering networks with global, regional, and local colleagues.

Qualifications:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of Trade Finance structures on a global scale, with experience collaborating with multinational financial departments, supply chain management, pre-export finance, and/or commodity finance.
  • Proven track record of successfully closing large-scale structured trade finance transactions.
  • In-depth understanding of Working Capital cycles and management principles.
  • Strong financial and analytical capabilities, with the ability to effectively assess a client's challenges and develop suitable solutions.
  • Demonstrated experience working across multiple international markets, with the ability to manage culturally diverse client and colleague interactions globally.
  • Extensive knowledge of Receivables Finance, Supply Chain Finance, Asset Based Lending/Borrowing Base lending, and other structured Open Account solutions, including awareness of trends and market dynamics.
  • Proven ability to navigate a cross-functional and matrix organizational structure.
  • A strong independent contributor with excellent communication skills, capable of building and maintaining robust stakeholder relationships with Treasury functions, CFOs, Finance Directors, and frontline Relationship Managers. Proficient in MS Excel, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint.
  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
