In the role of Director of Structuring and Solutions, reporting directly to the Head of Structuring and Solutions, you will collaborate with colleagues in Global Banking and Commercial Banking to originate and structure intricate solutions that support both large and mid-sized domestic corporations, as well as multinational clients. Your technical expertise will be instrumental in supporting the frontline GTS Business Development Managers, aiding in the structuring of customized open account solutions, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive the growth of structured propositions in GTS to senior stakeholders in Global Banking and Markets and Commercial Banking's Corporate divisions to ensure a steady flow of origination and requests for proposals.
  • Utilize your technical knowledge of all Structured Trade products, including Receivables Finance, Asset Based Lending, Supply Chain Finance, and other structured open account solutions across various regions, while leveraging your understanding of market trends and developments.
  • Lead the preparation and negotiation of customer-facing documents, pitch books, and indicative term sheets.
  • Provide detailed financial benefit analyses and supporting information for each customer request.
  • Stay informed about key market trends and competitors' positions on an ongoing basis.
  • Support Structured Trade learning and development initiatives for the GTS sales and relationship management teams.
  • Establish best practices in structuring complex transactions across all regions by building networks with global, regional, and local colleagues.

Requirements:

  • In-depth knowledge of Trade Finance structures at a global level, with experience working with multinational financial departments, supply chain, pre-export finance, and/or commodity finance.
  • Proven experience in closing significant structured trade finance transactions.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Working Capital cycles and management concepts.
  • Strong financial and analytical skills, with the ability to effectively comprehend a client's problem statement and develop suitable solutions.
  • Demonstrated experience working across various international markets, with the capability to manage culturally diverse client and colleague interactions globally.
  • Extensive knowledge of Receivables Finance, Supply Chain Finance, Asset Based Lending/Borrowing Base lending, and other structured Open Account solutions, including awareness of trends and market developments.
  • Proven ability to navigate a cross-functional and matrix organizational structure.
  • A strong independent contributor with excellent communication skills, capable of building and maintaining robust stakeholder relationships with Treasury functions, CFOs, Finance Directors, and frontline Relationship Managers. Proficient in MS Excel, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint.
  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.

Preference will be given to candidates with Australian PR/Citizenship or New Zealand Citizenship, or those who can demonstrate current unrestricted work rights in Australia without limitations.
