As a senior claims manager, you will play a key role in guiding and supporting others around you through mentoring and coaching colleagues. Your main objective will be to achieve the optimum outcome of early and sustainable return to work with reasonable claim costs.

Collaboration is essential in this role as you will work closely with medical professionals, employers, brokers, rehab providers, and other stakeholders to create an effective Return to Work strategy.

One of your primary responsibilities will be to assist the worker and employer with the claim process, providing support, managing expectations, and ensuring timely access to required services to support return to work and injury recovery.

You will also respond to escalations and provide coaching and mentoring to other members of the team.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will need a minimum of 3 years of experience managing claims within the New Zealand Accident Compensation Scheme.

Highly developed written and verbal communication skills are essential for this position, along with attention to detail and accuracy in managing stakeholder engagement.

Teamwork is crucial, as you will need to collaborate with colleagues and work independently when necessary.
