Building Construction Industry Project Manager

The State Government is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Project Coordinator to play a pivotal role in strengthening Queensland's building and construction industry.
About the Role- Lead the coordination and management of building projects across all phases, from pre-design to post-construction.
- Work closely with consultants, contractors, clients, and internal teams to deliver projects on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards.
This position requires a balance of technical expertise, leadership capability, and strong stakeholder engagement skills. The ideal candidate will be a proactive and results-driven project leader with strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
Key Responsibilities- Manage end-to-end project activities including design, documentation, contract administration, and delivery.
- Provide effective leadership and mentoring to project staff and consultants.
- Oversee contract coordination across traditional and non-traditional systems.
- Ensure projects meet scope, time, cost, cash-flow, quality, and profitability targets.
- Lead negotiations with stakeholders to achieve value-for-money outcomes.
- Monitor project performance, prepare reports, and conduct audits.
- Assure compliance with quality assurance procedures.
