Job Title

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Business Manager to lead our building and construction operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the industry and be able to manage resources effectively to ensure project delivery on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage resources to achieve project schedule
  • Lead a team of experienced Civil and Construction personnel
  • Manage sub-contractors
  • Maintain HSE standards, policies, and processes
  • Develop high levels of compliance and quality assurance
  • Oversee plans and specifications of work in contract
  • Develop scopes of work, detailed cost estimates, budgets, contract bids, shop drawings, and deliverable schedules relative to tender package
  • Manage cost, scheduling, profit, and loss, labour management, invoice approval, billing, collections, inspections, close-outs, and client relations
  • Closure of projects on time and on budget, meeting or exceeding client expectations
Required Attributes and Experience:
  • Demonstrate comprehensive understanding of contractual requirements and drive operational efficiencies
  • Able to build and maintain professional relationships with internal and external parties
  • Highly motivated and client-focused
  • Minimum five (5) years' experience as a Construction Manager
  • Show proven leadership skills
  • Strong knowledge and extensive experience in building & construction
  • Excellent verbal, written communication, and analytical skills
  • Passionate about motivating and engaging others as you lead your team
  • Understand requirements and ensure compliance with relevant acts and regulations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
Required Qualifications & Skills:
  • Possess an Advanced Diploma of Building and Construction (Management)
  • Hold a QBCC Open Builders Licence
  • Be proficient in business management
