Operational Site Supervisor

About the role
The site supervisor will oversee daily operations, including resourcing, rostering, supervising staff and subcontractors. Responsibilities include ensuring optimal performance of fixed and mobile waste processing equipment, maximizing throughput and recovery rates, maintaining stock control, adhering to safety and environmental standards, quality waste separation, traffic management, customer service, and site cleanliness.

Responsibilities

  • Lead operational site management with a strong focus on safety, compliance, and efficiency.
  • Supervise staff and subcontractors, and manage resources and rosters.
  • Monitor and maintain equipment performance, and optimize processes for maximum throughput and recovery rates.
  • Implement strict adherence to safety and environmental standards, and ensure quality waste separation.
  • Manage traffic, provide customer service, and maintain site cleanliness.

Requirements

  • Proven leadership experience in fast-paced environments with a strong focus on safety and compliance.
  • Hands-on experience with fixed and mobile plant, supported by mechanical knowledge and relevant machine tickets.
  • Strong team leadership skills, with the ability to build, manage, and motivate effective teams.
  • Proficiency in using data and digital tools to drive performance improvements, including MS Office and other reporting systems.
  • Solid understanding of WHS principles and their practical application to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
