Waste and Resource Recovery Graduate

We are seeking a talented graduate to join our team in the Waste and Resource Recovery Branch. As a graduate, you will contribute to planning, operating, and improving waste and resource recovery services across the City.

This is an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate to gain hands-on experience and develop valuable skills in operations, project management, and stakeholder engagement. You will work closely with industry leaders and be part of a dynamic team that shapes and connects our City.

Job Description:
  • Contribute to projects focused on maximising resource recovery from waste and promoting circular economy principles.
  • Support various waste management projects in the planning and delivery phase, including report writing, research, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Assist with data collection related to waste generation, recycling rates, and other relevant metrics.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or postgraduate qualification in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Business, or related fields.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to think logically and solve problems creatively.
  • Curious, motivated, and driven to make a difference for the future of the City.
