AML/CTF Compliance Lead - Australia and New Zealand

We are seeking a seasoned AML/CTF Compliance professional to lead our compliance programs in Australia and New Zealand.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • – Develop and implement a risk-based approach to ensure compliance with AML/CTF regulations in Australia and New Zealand.
  • – Maintain relationships with regulatory bodies, including the Australian Transaction Reports and Analysis Centre (AUSTRAC) and the New Zealand Police Financial Intelligence Unit (NFIU).
  • – Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, assess, and mitigate ML/TF risks.
  • – Conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure compliance with AML/CTF regulations.
  • – Develop and maintain effective policies, procedures, and controls to prevent money laundering and terrorist financing.
  • – Provide training and guidance to employees on AML/CTF regulations and company policies.
  • – Stay up-to-date with changes in AML/CTF regulations and ensure compliance.

About the Role:

  • Responsibilities:
  • – Develop and implement risk management strategies to minimize exposure to ML/TF risks.
  • – Conduct regular monitoring and reporting of ML/TF transactions.
  • – Analyze data and reports to identify trends and anomalies.
  • – Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory bodies and other stakeholders.
  • – Provide guidance and support to employees on AML/CTF regulations and company policies.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications:
  • – Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as law, finance, or business.
  • – Minimum 5 years of experience in AML/CTF compliance.
  • – Strong knowledge of AML/CTF regulations in Australia and New Zealand.
  • – Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • – Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • – Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • – Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
