Land Manager Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Land Manager to join our team and contribute to the success of our Development strategy.

The successful candidate will lead on site identification, initial research, and appraisals, focusing on negotiating prices and terms with vendors and agents.

A key aspect of this role is to have strong commercial acumen to assess project feasibility by liaising with internal teams on benchmarking, costing, and terms.

Your clear communication style in conveying planning and site information is crucial to ensure high-quality work within set deadlines.

This includes regularly reviewing and updating site valuations and budgets to reflect current proposals and values.

  1. Significant experience in New Homes Development land management
  2. Solid understanding of land purchase processes and relevant legislations
  3. Knowledge of design and construction processes
  4. Confidence in chairing land meetings and engaging with consultants
  5. High commercial acumen and awareness
  6. Ability to build relationships and interact effectively with stakeholders
  7. Strong organisational, planning, and workload management skills, with the ability to work under pressure
  8. Confidence in leading presentations and group meetings
  9. Vision, commitment, and enthusiasm for change
  10. An influential character with strong listening and negotiation skills
  11. Resilience and perseverance during challenging negotiations
  12. Degree in a relevant discipline, e.g., Real Estate, Town Planning, Urban Planning, etc.
