
Senior Labor Relations Manager

We are currently seeking a Labor Relations Specialist to join our team on a 19:9 rotation at one of our Perth, Western Australia-based projects.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing labor relations, union engagement (where applicable), workforce discipline, conflict resolution, stakeholder engagement and ensuring industrial harmony across our workforce.
This role requires a strong understanding of labor laws, industrial relations frameworks, and employment regulations in Australia. The ideal candidate will have proven experience handling union negotiations, grievance procedures, and labor contractor management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement site-specific IR strategies to support project objectives
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with unions, worker representatives, and labor contractors
- Negotiate and manage collective bargaining agreements (if applicable)
- Monitor compliance with labour laws, union agreements, wage regulations, and working conditions
- Liaise with local government labor authorities and ensure legal compliance on all IR matters
- Support site managers and supervisors in managing employee conduct, performance, and behavior
- Conduct investigations into grievances, disciplinary cases, and workplace complaints
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Law, Industrial Relations, or a related field
- 8+ years of ER/IR experience in large-scale EPC or heavy industrial/construction projects
- In-depth knowledge of labor laws, industrial relations frameworks, and employment regulations in Australia
