Workforce Services Supervisor

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the role of Workforce Services Supervisor. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about delivering successful outcomes in project labor relations activities, leading complex employee relations investigations, and resolving employee disputes.

The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical and strategic planning skills, good communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office software. Experience in human resources, industrial or employee relations, and workforce services type roles on a construction site is highly regarded.

Main Responsibilities
  • Interpreting and administering applicable labor union contracts and enforcing work rules
  • Keeping abreast of labor laws and related legislation applicable to construction labor union employees
  • Working with subcontractor representatives to ensure labor contracts are interpreted correctly and work rules are enforced uniformly
  • Analyzing immediate and/or anticipated labor problems and implementing corrective actions to prevent work stoppages and construction schedule delays
  • Conducting and/or providing guidance in conducting informal and formal grievance hearings in accordance with applicable labor union contract procedures

The selected candidate will be responsible for handling project labor relations activities, leading complex employee relations investigations, and resolving employee disputes. This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and negotiation skills.
