Senior Industrial Relations Specialist Job

  • This role is part of a landmark urea project, one of the largest in Australia and globally, utilizing environmentally friendly methods to ensure long-term benefits to the local community.

The project will generate 2,000 jobs during construction and provide extensive training, career opportunities, and business partnerships.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Develop strategic industrial relations plans to align with project objectives.
  2. Maintain strong relationships with unions, worker representatives, and labor contractors.
  3. Negotiate collective bargaining agreements and ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations.
  4. Manage conflict resolution, stakeholder engagement, and maintain harmony across the workforce.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Law, Industrial Relations, or a related field.
  • At least 8 years of ER/IR experience in large-scale EPC or heavy industrial/construction projects.
  • Deep knowledge of labor laws, industrial relations frameworks, and employment regulations in Australia.
  • Proven ability to handle union negotiations, grievance procedures, and labor contractor management.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
