Job Description

Job Title: Paediatric Neurologist Consultant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Paediatric Neurologist Consultant to join our team at the Royal Children's Hospital. As a Consultant Neurologist, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive care to children with neurological disorders, including investigation and management of refractory epilepsy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical care to inpatients with a range of neurological disorders
  • Conduct subspecialist outpatient clinics in paediatric epilepsy
  • Manage complex epilepsy patients and be actively involved in the RCH Comprehensive Epilepsy Program
  • Supervise and report routine EEG, ambulatory, and video-EEG recordings
  • Perform teaching activities within the department
  • Supervise junior medical staff and be accountable for their care
  • Participate in clinical meetings and respect confidentiality
  • Ensure continuity of care and communicate with other practitioners

Requirements:

  • Current National Criminal Record Check
  • Valid Working with Children Check
  • Compliance with RCH's Staff Immunisation - Prevention of Vaccine Preventable Diseases procedure
