Bilingual Consulting (T/A Blackburn Speech & Paediatric Therapy) is a multidisciplinary allied health clinic dedicated to providing high-quality, family-centred therapy services to children and families from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
We offer a range of services, including speech therapy, occupational therapy, play therapy, and psychology, tailored to meet the unique needs of each child and family.
Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team as a Paediatric Specialist. As an Occupational Therapist with Bilingual Consulting, you will be responsible for providing early intensive therapy and occupational therapy services to children and families, supporting their goals and promoting their development.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct initial consultations with parents or caregivers to assess the child's needs and develop a treatment plan.
- Provide occupational therapy services to children aged 2-17, including individual and group therapy sessions.
- Liaise with parents or caregivers to establish child and family-centred goals and develop resources for therapy and home programs.
- Collaborate with other professionals involved in the child's care to ensure comprehensive and coordinated support.
- Manage a caseload of approximately 70% client-related responsibilities, with the remainder allocated for administrative duties and continued learning.
- Provide high-quality customer service to clients and external stakeholders, maintaining confidentiality and respecting the privacy of all individuals.
- Contribute to a cooperative team environment by communicating openly and in a friendly manner, working efficiently and amicably with all members of the clinic.

- Established ability to be punctual, reliable, motivated, and committed to the team and the families we work with.
- Keen desire to follow direction and take initiative, with a proven ability to function as a multidisciplinary team member.
- Effective oral and written communication skills, along with strong interpersonal, organisational, and time management skills.
- Proven ability to work effectively in an interdisciplinary team and provide patient-centred practice.
- Experience working with culturally and linguistically diverse communities.
- Experience working with children and families from diverse backgrounds.
- Experience providing group programs for children and their families.
- Experience in the provision of health promotion/community education activities.
- Fluency in English and ability to converse in Cantonese and Mandarin.
- Current driver's license and access to a vehicle for off-site visits.
- Specific skills in management of fine motor development, sensory processing, visual perception, and motor planning skills.
- Demonstrated time management and organisational skills, with the ability to coordinate an assigned caseload.
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in an interdisciplinary team and provide patient-centred practice.
- Competitive salary range of $78,000 - $100,000, including superannuation.
- Incentive program (commissions) which can add an average of $3000 to your annual salary.
