About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Consultant Paediatric Dentist to join our team at The Royal Children's Hospital. As a key member of our dental department, you will provide exceptional care to children with complex medical needs and special requirements.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing comprehensive dental care to patients in an outpatient setting
  • Performing dental care under general anaesthesia to patients with complex medical needs and/or trauma
  • Supervising junior medical staff members in managing eligible inpatients and outpatients in clinics, wards, and under general anaesthesia
  • Coordinating dental care in consultation with the medical or multidisciplinary team where necessary
  • Participating in continuing education within the RCH and Department and participating in staff meetings
  • Providing professional guidance and support for a multidisciplinary team

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Demonstrated capacity to work harmoniously and collaboratively within a small team
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proven ability to lead by example in providing the highest quality clinical care to children and young people
  • Specialist Dental Registration with AHPRA
  • Preferably have Specialist Stream Fellowship in Paediatric Dentistry or are in the process of obtaining your fellowship
