The Sporting Globe is a dynamic hospitality and sports entertainment brand that aims to become Australia's most beloved sports bar and grill. We offer high-quality pub food accompanied by an extensive range of beers, cocktails, and spirits in a welcoming family atmosphere.

We feature over 50 giant screens throughout the venue, a large bar, TAB facilities, booth seating, and a spacious outdoor area that complements our state-of-the-art fit-out, making us the ultimate paradise for sports enthusiasts.

About the Role:

  • Demonstrated experience as a Head Chef or Sous Chef in a hotel, restaurant, or pub setting is essential.
  • An energetic attitude, team player approach, and strong work ethic are mandatory.
  • Lead, inspire, and mentor our kitchen brigade to achieve exceptional culinary excellence.
  • Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and kitchen cleanliness.
  • Effectively manage kitchen operations, including inventory management, budgeting, and staff scheduling.
  • Evaluate and ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Experience and understanding of financial controls in a hospitality business is desirable.
  • Able to lead, train, and develop a team.
  • Ensure that all meals are prepared according to the venue's recipe and plating guides and served on time, meeting the highest possible quality standards.

Key Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Head Chef is required.
  • Ambitious attitude, collaborative spirit, and high energy levels are vital.
  • Passion for delivering outstanding quality food to satisfy guests.
  • Commitment to adhering to our brand standards, OH&S regulations, and food hygiene procedures.
  • Knowledge of rostering software is beneficial but not essential.
  • Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery is desired but not obligatory.
  • Eligibility to work in Australia is mandatory.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Excellent leadership skills to motivate and guide kitchen staff effectively.
  • Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
  • Familiarity with food cost control, inventory management, and kitchen operations.
