Games Festival Operations Executive Role

Delivering a World-Class Games Festival Experience.

The Games Festival Operations Executive plays a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless execution of the SXSW Sydney Games Festival. This entails overseeing operational and logistical aspects, including 150+ games showcases, 25+ industry and networking sessions, and events across multiple traditional and non-traditional venues.

This role is ideal for individuals with a passion for the games and technology industries, who possess strong operational expertise and thrive in fast-paced environments. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with suppliers, contractors, and venue partners to guarantee a world-class festival experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the Operations Manager - Festivals and other key team members in delivering unique event requirements.
  • Developing and implementing project plans to ensure timely and high-standard delivery of operational elements.
  • Coordinating logistics, procurement, and scheduling to meet accessibility, signage, staffing, ticketing, and hospitality needs.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in event operations, preferably in gaming events or exhibitions.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Proven experience in large-scale event procurement and logistics coordination.
