About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Manager to join our team at Cover-More. As a key member of our sales and distribution team, you will be responsible for driving growth and profitability through strategic sales planning, portfolio optimization, and collaboration with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies aligned with company objectives in the travel insurance sector.
  • Identify and capitalize on sales, distribution, product, and new business opportunities to drive growth for Cover-More Australia.
  • Work closely with the Australian Leadership team, Account Directors, and Digital Managers to deliver strategic growth and commercial initiatives.
  • Collaborate with senior management to set sales targets, establish key performance indicators (KPIs), and drive performance improvements.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify growth opportunities and inform strategic decisions.
  • Prepare, review, and analyze sales reports, P&Ls, and forecasts to assess performance and support commercial decision-making.
  • Streamline sales operations, identifying areas for improvement and implementing best practices to enhance efficiency and customer experiences.
  • Leverage technology solutions to support and enhance sales and commercial activities.
  • Collaborate with the Strategic Delivery team to prioritize and align commercial initiatives with business objectives.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including digital, marketing, product development, and operations, to ensure a cohesive approach to sales and distribution.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Actuarial Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in sales planning, operations, performance analysis, and portfolio management in the financial services sector, with a preference for insurance experience.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with a history of developing and executing successful growth plans.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and lead cross-functional teams.
  • Experience collaborating with IT teams and proven ability to prioritize and manage technological initiatives effectively.
  • Strong operational management skills, including the ability to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
  • Ability to build effective relationships to achieve outcomes and foster team development.
  • Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to analyze information to identify risks and opportunities and make informed decisions.
  • Proven experience in stakeholder management and the ability to influence others effectively.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills to drive performance and foster a positive team environment.
