Job Description

The Culinary Operations Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of kitchen operations at our Aged Care facility. This includes planning and implementing food service, preparing and serving meals, and ensuring compliance with health standards.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 6 months experience in commercial cookery and hold a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery. They will also possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and be able to foster positive relationships with residents, families, and staff.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Organise and implement food service in accordance with planned menus
  • Prepares and serves meals that align with the menu and complies with all necessary health standards
  • Analysis of all aspects of the operation to monitor and audit performance to ensure continuous improvements are achieved
  • Fosters the development of positive relationships with individuals, families, and staff
  • Plan and implement daily food preparation lists for effective production
  • Effectively manages all aspects of the kitchen operations and environmental compliance requirements
Required Skills and Qualifications

We are looking for a personable and empathetic individual who is passionate about delivering high-quality care and services. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Minimum of 6 months experience in commercial cookery
  • Minimum Certificate III Commercial Cookery
  • Good time management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience in the hospitality environment
