About the Role

The purpose of this position is to be accountable and responsible for supporting and managing IT systems within the Healius environment.

Working within the Operational Technology Services Team as a System Administrator, the successful candidate will be an all-rounder with a strong technical background.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Server Infrastructure Support: Provide technical support for server infrastructure, including on-prem, virtualized, and private cloud environments.
  • ICT Asset Management: Procure, install, configure, and maintain ICT assets and associated operating systems.
  • Backup and Replication: Responsible for backup and replication processes to ensure data integrity and availability.
  • System Recovery: Undertake recovery actions in the event of hardware or system failure.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical support for both hardware and software issues.
  • Housekeeping Procedures: Implement and coordinate housekeeping procedures, including backups, user account setup, file access monitoring, and log checking.
  • Technical Documentation: Manage and update internal wiki with technical documentation, manuals, and IT policies.
  • Security and Compliance: Ensure system and security patches are applied to systems to limit cyber vulnerabilities.
  • System Monitoring: Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems, and key processes.
  • Backup Operations: Perform daily backup operations, ensuring all required file systems and system data are successfully backed up to the appropriate media.
  • Infrastructure Management: Manage the internal infrastructure, including servers, storage, and networking.
  • Proactive Maintenance: Perform proactive maintenance and monitoring to ensure system availability and performance.
  • Operating System Management: Apply operating system patches and upgrades on a monthly basis and upgrade administrative tools and utilities as required.
  • Digital Roadmap: Assist the Systems Manager in the design and execution of the digital roadmap.
  • System Improvements: Implement improvements to systems and business processes, utilizing supporting technologies to enhance overall organizational performance.
  • Active Directory and Infrastructure Services: Manage Active Directory and infrastructure services, such as DHCP, DNS, and DFS, on a regular basis to ensure standards are maintained according to policies.
Requirements:
  • Technical Experience: Experience working with business-critical ICT infrastructure, physical and virtual.
  • Operating System Knowledge: Strong knowledge of Microsoft desktop and Server operating systems.
  • Linux Knowledge: Working knowledge of Linux.
  • Active Directory and Security Knowledge: Demonstrated knowledge of Active Directory, Security Groups, Share permissions, and Group Policy.
  • SQL Server Administration: SQL Server Administration experience.
  • Networking Knowledge: Solid understanding of TCP/IP, IPSEC, FTP, DNS, DHCP, VLAN, Routing, Subnets, IPWAN, and patching.
  • Microsoft 365 Knowledge: Knowledge of Microsoft 365, including Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
  • Virtualization Experience: Experience with HyperV and VMware.
  • Data Backup Concepts: Understanding of data backup concepts and different backup types.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively with colleagues across all business units.
  • Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, both hardware and software.
  • Attention to Detail: Attention to detail to ensure information is accurately captured and documented.
  • IT Security: IT security knowledge.
  • Education: University IT Studies.
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience as a System Admin role.
