Desktop Support Specialist Role

We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Desktop Support Specialist to provide technical support for PCs, laptops, end-user devices, peripherals, and Windows desktop environments.

The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge of Windows desktop operating systems, MS Office suite, and standard business applications. They will be able to troubleshoot and resolve issues with common applications and deliver excellent customer service in line with IT service management principles and agreed service levels.

In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute subject matter expertise in desktop support. The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience in a Desktop Support or End-User Support role and be able to interpret and apply IT policies, principles, processes, and procedures effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Technical Support: Providing assistance with PC hardware, software, and peripheral issues.
  • Troubleshooting: Resolving technical problems with common applications such as Microsoft Office, Edge/Chrome, and productivity tools.
  • Customer Service: Delivering exceptional customer service and stakeholder engagement in line with IT service management principles and agreed service levels.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Working closely with other departments to contribute subject matter expertise in desktop support.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrated experience in a Desktop Support or End-User Support role.
  • Strong technical knowledge of Windows desktop operating systems, MS Office suite, and standard business applications.
  • Proven ability to interpret and apply IT policies, principles, processes, and procedures.
