Seeking a dedicated professional to assist the Health Complaints Commissioner in upholding the Health Complaints Act 1995.

The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills, empathy, and problem-solving abilities to effectively handle enquires and complaints from diverse stakeholders.

A comprehensive range of duties includes receiving and recording enquires, facilitating quick resolutions, conducting thorough investigations, and maintaining effective communication with all parties involved.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Department of Justice as a valued member of our team. We offer a competitive salary package of AU$73,500 - AU$94,045 per annum, plus superannuation and annual leave loading.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Health Complaints Commissioner in fulfilling their responsibilities under the Health Complaints Act 1995
  • Receive and record enquires and complaints, and facilitate quick resolution where possible
  • Conduct thorough investigations into complaints, maintaining effective communication with all stakeholders
  • Liaise with relevant providers, agencies, and individuals to resolve complaints in a timely manner

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Current Tasmanian Working with Vulnerable People Registration (Registration Status - Employment)
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
