Job Overview
We offer a competitive salary package, estimated at $120,000 - $160,000 per annum, based on experience and qualifications. This role will play a pivotal part in supporting GHD's Tasmanian operations and developing strategies to protect the health, safety, and welfare of our staff, clients, and contractors.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement, support, and ensure compliance with GHD's Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Management System for the Tasmania region;
- Manage Health and Safety (ISO 45001) and Environmental (ISO 14001) certification processes;
- Collaborate with business leaders and project managers to drive cultural change and improvement;
- Engage with operations and strategic planning to bring HSE best practices into our business;
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A qualification in safety, health, and environment or a related field, preferably with an Advanced Diploma in OHS or Diploma;
- 10+ years' experience in a similar role from an industrial or corporate setting, including site safety experience;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with, and influence business leaders and project managers;
- Proven experience in implementing and managing HSE management systems;
- Strong knowledge of relevant HSE legislation and regulations.
