The Opportunity

This key front-line role will assist in the day-to-day operations of the depots, including operational delivery and compliance, managing systems, liaising with drivers, rostering, and reporting.

  • This position is based in Townsville.
  • You will assist managers in implementing business plans and strategic objectives for the site, as well as planning and delivering school, route, special event, and charter services at the depot.
  • Maintain good relationships with all stakeholders and staff, and develop a collaborative working relationship (both internally and externally) focusing on excellence in service provision and individual performance.
  • Manage day-to-day staff resource allocations for the depot, including maintaining drivers' rosters through TIMS and assisting managers to implement cost-effective staffing strategies.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience in transport, logistics, or operations, although full training will be provided.
  • A minimum MR Driver's License and QLD Drivers Authority.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Excellent planning and organisational ability, including the ability to perform under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent customer service focus.
  • Demonstrated ability to follow policies and procedures.
  • Intermediate computer literacy, including the ability to utilise integrated software systems (TIMS knowledge is preferable).
