PhD Scholarships: Implementing a Co-Designed Exercise Intervention for Ostomates

Griffith University is seeking a highly motivated and skilled research assistant to join the Foxtrot project, a consumer-oriented initiative funded by the Medical Research Futures Fund. The project aims to develop and deliver a highly accessible and purpose-designed exercise intervention to support the unique needs of people with stomas.
The successful candidate will contribute to the design, implementation, and evaluation of the exercise intervention, working closely with an interdisciplinary team of clinicians and researchers. This is an excellent opportunity to develop skills in consumer engagement, collaboration, and research, with a focus on improving healthcare outcomes for people with cancer.
Key Responsibilities- Contribute to the design and implementation of the exercise intervention
- Collaborate with the research team to develop and deliver the intervention
- Evaluate the effectiveness of the intervention and contribute to the interpretation of results
- Develop skills in consumer engagement and collaboration
- Completed a bachelors degree with honours equivalent to first class honours or a Masters degree (AQF Level 9) incorporating a significant research component
- Knowledge in statistics and work in the field of allied health, nursing, public health, or medicine
- Passion for improving healthcare outcomes for people with cancer
As a research assistant at Griffith University, you will have the opportunity to work with a world-leading team of researchers, develop your skills in consumer engagement and collaboration, and contribute to the development of a highly accessible and purpose-designed exercise intervention. The successful candidate will receive a fully-funded scholarship, including a stipend and tuition fees.
