PhD Scholarships: Enhancing Women's Recovery after Cancer Treatment Program

Griffith University is seeking a PhD candidate to contribute to a research project focused on enhancing women's recovery after cancer treatment. The project, titled RECENTRE, aims to implement and evaluate a lifestyle intervention program for women treated for breast and gynaecological cancer.
The successful candidate will be part of a multidisciplinary research team and will have the opportunity to design an innovative research project that enhances and fits within the parameters of RECENTRE. The project involves collaboration with the immediate research team and a broader interdisciplinary team across universities and hospital settings.
Research FocusThe research focus of this project is on developing and implementing a lifestyle intervention program for women after cancer treatment. The program aims to improve quality of life and reduce treatment-related chronic disease risks in these women through targeted lifestyle management.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to the development and implementation of the program, as well as to conduct research on the effectiveness of the program in improving outcomes for women after cancer treatment.
RequirementsTo be successful in this role, the candidate will need to have a strong background in research, particularly in the areas of epidemiology, econometrics, statistics, and work in the field of nursing, allied health, public health, or medicine.
The candidate will also need to demonstrate a passion for behavioural change research in a health setting and have evidence of a strong academic record, including a bachelor's degree with honours equivalent to first class honours or a master's degree (AQF Level 9) incorporating a significant research component.

The scholarship includes a fully-funded stipend of $33,480 (indexed) for a period of up to three years of full-time study, as well as tuition fees for up to three years for international students.
