Griffith University is seeking a PhD candidate to contribute to a research project focused on enhancing women's recovery after cancer treatment. The project, titled RECENTRE, aims to implement and evaluate a lifestyle intervention program for women treated for breast and gynaecological cancer.
The successful candidate will be part of a multidisciplinary research team and will have the opportunity to design an innovative research project that enhances and fits within the parameters of RECENTRE. The project involves collaboration with the immediate research team and a broader interdisciplinary team across universities and hospital settings.
Research FocusThe research focus of this project is on the development and delivery of multidisciplinary lifestyle interventions within cancer populations. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a project that aims to improve quality of life and reduce treatment-related chronic disease risks in women treated for breast and gynaecological cancer.
RequirementsTo be successful in this role, the candidate must have completed, or expect to complete, a bachelors degree with honours equivalent to first class honours or a Masters degree (AQF Level 9) incorporating a significant research component. The candidate must also have evidence of a passion for behavioural change research in a health setting.
