We are seeking a highly motivated and talented individual to join our research team at Griffith University as a PhD Research Scholar. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a cutting-edge project focused on innovating treatments for people with diabetes.
Research OpportunityThe research project aims to develop and implement personalized management interventions to reduce foot ulcerations in people with diabetes. This is a critical area of research, as diabetic foot ulcers are a major cause of amputations worldwide. Our team is well-equipped to tackle this challenge, with expertise in biophysical modeling, smart textile technologies, and advanced manufacturing techniques.
About the ScholarshipThe PhD Research Scholarship is a prestigious award that provides financial support for international students to pursue a PhD at Griffith University. The scholarship covers living allowances and tuition fees for 3-3.5 years. We welcome self-funded applicants, as well as those requiring funding, who will be mentored through an Australian Research Training Program (RTP) scholarship application.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct research on innovative treatments for people with diabetes
- Develop and implement personalized management interventions
- Collaborate with our research team to achieve project goals
- Awarded a first-class Honours degree in a related area, or on track to receive one by December 2022
- Experience in conducting human research, signal processing, and coding in MATLAB or Python
- Desirable: experience with publishing in high-quality peer-reviewed scientific journals
