Upgrading Windows 10 to Windows 11 is a core responsibility of this role.

This position involves upgrading multiple thousands of virtual desktop users through in-place upgrades and new builds, including identifying machine AD group memberships, building machines, liaising with users, tracking progress, and providing updates.

Key Responsibilities
  • Upgrade AVD instances from Windows 10 to Windows 11
  • Plan, track, and report project progress to management
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and users to ensure smooth migration
  • Maintain an issues register and identify risks impacting the project
Requirements
  • 2-3 years of experience in a similar environment
  • Ability to manage timelines and coordinate team efforts
  • Strong communication skills, including written updates
  • Experience deploying applications with SCCM or similar tools (preferred)
  • PowerShell scripting experience (favorable)
  • Experience with AVD, VMware, or similar (preferred)
  • Solid support background in Windows 10 desktop OS
  • Ability to perform bare-metal builds using SCCM, InTune, or similar
  • Facilitation and presentation skills
  • Willingness to learn and a positive attitude
