In Australia and New Zealand, Bupa supports more than 5 million customers through a broad range of health and care services including health insurance, aged care, rehabilitation, dental, optical, medical, hearing, and visa services.The Workplace Technology and Enablement team manages all end-user devices, such as mobile devices, laptops, desktops, and virtual desktop operating systems, along with supporting systems like SCCM and InTune, including patching, packaging, vulnerability management, and bespoke solutions.We are seeking an Engineer / Technical Project Coordinator to assist with upgrading our Windows 10 AVDs to Windows 11 over a 6-month period on a day rate.
The role involves upgrading several thousand AVD users through in-place upgrades and new builds, including identifying machine AD group memberships, building machines, liaising with users, tracking progress, and providing updates.Responsibilities of the roleUpgrade AVD instances from Windows 10 to Windows 11Plan, track, and report progress to managementEngage vendors, script, or use migration tools creativelyCollaborate with business stakeholders and users to ensure smooth migrationAssist with change management and prepare change requestsMaintain an issues register, identify risks and issues impacting the projectSkills required2-3 years of experience in a similar environmentAbility to manage timelines, track progress, and coordinate team effortsStrong communication skills, including written updatesExperience deploying applications with SCCM or similar tools (preferred)PowerShell scripting experience (favorable)Experience with AVD, VMware, or similar (preferred)Solid support background in Windows 10 desktop OSAbility to perform bare-metal builds using SCCM, InTune, or similarFacilitation and presentation skillsWillingness to learn and a positive attitudeWhat's in it for you?
