Lead Primary High Voltage Engineer Role Overview

We're seeking a skilled Electrical Systems Design Lead to join our team in Sydney. As a seasoned professional, you'll be responsible for delivering high-quality designs for HV substations, ensuring they meet industry standards and codes.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop detailed designs for primary systems up to 500kV
• Prepare and review design reports and power system calculations
• Conduct site visits and assessment surveys as required
• Define project scope and manage client expectations
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless project delivery
• Develop specifications for procurement packages
• Lead and manage design workshops with clients
• Attend type tests and witness FATs for major HV equipment

Desired Skills and Qualifications:
• Relevant experience in HV substation designs at transmission voltage levels
• Strong knowledge of transmission and distribution industry standards and codes in Australia
• Proficiency in software packages such as ETAP, CYMCAP, CDEGS, or DigSILENT
• Site support experience and/or experience in HV substation projects
• University degree in Electrical/Power Systems Engineering (Masters preferred)
• Chartership desired
