About the Role

We're seeking a seasoned Electrical Systems Engineering Lead to join our team in Sydney, working on high-voltage substation projects. As the primary point of contact for clients, you will be responsible for leading and delivering design solutions from concept to detailed design.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a multi-disciplinary team of engineers and designers in the development of HV substation primary systems up to 500kV.
  • Develop specifications for procurement packages, ensuring compliance with industry standards and codes.
  • Interface directly with clients, suppliers, and other interdisciplinary engineers to ensure effective project delivery.
  • Prepare and review design reports, power system calculations, and site visits as required.

About You

To succeed in this role, you should have relevant experience in HV substation designs at transmission voltage levels, conversant with the transmission and distribution industry, standards, and codes in Australia. A university degree in Electrical/Power Systems Engineering is essential, with chartership desired.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Relevant experience in HV substation designs at transmission voltage levels.
  • Conversant with the transmission and distribution industry, standards, and codes in Australia.
  • Skilled or able to learn software packages such as ETAP, CYMCAP, CDEGS, DigSILENT, or like.
  • Site support experience or experience in HV Substations projects being constructed and/or commissioned.
