Job Description

As a senior member of our engineering team, the Principal Electrical Engineer has technical and supervisory responsibility for the development of high-quality designs for primary and secondary high-voltage systems on substation and renewable generation grid connection design and construct projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a design team to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of quality, safe, and compliant designs and associated engineering documents.
  • Serve as the single point of contact on technical matters both internally and externally.
  • Effectively coordinate cross-discipline designs to address all interfaces and manage risks.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will have:

Essential Experience:
  • A degree in electrical engineering and Chartered Professional Engineer status.
  • Senior-level experience in project-based utilities or construction companies.
  • Demonstrated experience in design, including leading multi-discipline designs.
Desirable Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of transmission grid projects and renewable generation connection technical requirements.
  • Experience carrying out designs for transmission utility companies.
