As a High Voltage Design Engineer with Beca, you will be part of a dynamic team working on iconic projects that shape the energy transition journey to net-zero carbon emissions. You will deliver innovative technical solutions to high voltage power generation, transmission, and distribution clients across Australasia.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead the technical delivery of primary/HV projects from feasibility to detail designs
  • Develop, mentor, and lead junior engineers
  • Design high voltage substations and other related infrastructure
  • Collaborate with engineering and project teams to deliver projects on time and within budget
  • Mentor and train junior staff
  • Contribute to strategic bids and tenders for future energy projects

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A strong foundation in electrical engineering with a focus on high voltage power systems
  • Experience in substation primary engineering and HV/EHV substations design
  • Familiarity with engineering software and design tools
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to manage multiple tasks and priorities

We offer a competitive salary package ranging from $120,000 to $180,000 per annum, depending on experience. The estimated salary for this role is approximately $150,000 per year.
