
Human Resource Specialist

The Human Resource Specialist plays a pivotal role in the organization's HR Department, reporting directly to the Global HR Manager. Key responsibilities include supporting Australian HR processes, initiatives, and projects.
This role encompasses various tasks including coordination of recruitment initiatives, onboarding, HR training, employee relations support, HR reporting, and project management. The specialist will also be responsible for managing the recruitment process for Australia, drafting job postings, and administering new hire packages.
- Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Coordinate recruitment initiatives and manage internal/external job postings.
- Update offer letter templates and draft offer letters as necessary.
- Administer new hire packages, supporting the onboarding process and orientation planning.
- Collaborate with the payroll department on employee matters and projects, such as benefits administration, leave management, and payroll discrepancies.
- Support the management team with employee matters.
- Investigate employee queries related to Human Resources policies.
- Maintain and update local policies and procedures as needed.
- Maintain employee file records on the organization's HRIS, ensuring all required documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
- Complete termination paperwork and assist with employee exit interviews.
- Maintain and update the organization's internal HR site, including organizational charts.
- Track completion of employee compliance requirements where applicable.
- Liaise with external immigration lawyers on specific cases.
- Support employee engagement and retention projects.
- Internal HR and CSR projects to enhance teamwork and company culture.
- Adhere to confidentiality and privacy regulations.
- A minimum of three years' experience in a busy Human Resources position, preferably in a multi-state environment.
- Post-secondary education in Human Resource Management or a related field.
- A combination of education/experience may be considered if it directly relates to the position.
- Knowledge of Australian employment laws and regulations is essential.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite is required.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are necessary.
The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills are also essential.
