What You Can Expect

As the State Sales Manager, you will leverage your in-depth knowledge of Zimmer Biomet and competitor products to maximize market potential within your territory. Your leadership will drive the performance of Sales Associates and Clinical Support Representatives, setting and monitoring goals to ensure success. You will act as a liaison between the sales team and various internal departments, facilitating the flow of crucial information and translating corporate updates into actionable insights for your team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and direct the sales team to achieve annual sales targets, both team-wide and for individual territories.
  • Regularly perform performance appraisals and coaching for Sales Associates and Sales Support Representatives.
  • Analyze monthly sales results and trends to identify business opportunities and inform strategic decisions.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to secure resources and information needed by the sales team.
  • Manage financial resources, including promotional and state expense budgets.
  • Complete required reports and coordinate external meetings and trade displays.

Requirements

  • A strong working knowledge of Zimmer Biomet and competitor products.
  • Medical device sales and/or sales management experience.
  • A relevant Business or Science degree or equivalent compensating work experience.
  • Proven experience in analyzing sales data, interpreting trends, and developing strategic responses.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop, coach, and manage a sales team, driving high performance and engagement.
  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to translate complex information into easily understood terms.
  • Commitment to the highest standards of patient safety, quality, and integrity in all business practices.
