
Rewards Strategist

The position of Rewards Strategist will provide leadership in reward and recognition aligned with our organisation's strategy.
This role requires both transactional and transformational activities, including utilizing the Mercer framework for job sizing and grading, coordinating annual remuneration reviews, and overseeing benefits programs.
Key Focus Areas:- Develop and implement policy, process, and systems for reward and evaluation of roles across the organisation
- Manage annual remuneration review processes end-to-end, working with relevant leaders to develop individualised salary recommendations
- Provide insights on workforce analytics, reward, and retention
- Evaluate and ensure consistency in organisation-wide approach to job sizing and grading
- Manage our salary packaging offerings, including vendor management

- Manage our annual remuneration review process, providing advice and/or recommendations based on market data and WGEA/gender obligations
- Stay up-to-date with market trends and conduct regular benchmarking to ensure remuneration and benefits remain competitive
- Manage our Executive Incentive Plan
- Review and make recommendations regarding our benefits program
- Contribute to and maintain workforce reports for accurate employee data on headcount/FTE and turnover
- Manage our WGEA reporting and gender pay gap analysis
- Undertake sizing of roles using Mercer job sizing methodology and approved salary grading framework
- Design, build, and maintain reports and interactive dashboards using Power BI and Excel for self-service by leaders and the People team
- Support the broader People team with ad-hoc project work and customised reports, such as position management
- Provide advice on salary packaging and not-for-profit charitable organisation benefits
- Support implementation of grant-funded incentive payments for our team members
- Manage our relationship with our salary packaging provider
- Commitment to engage and align with our Christian Mission, Motivation, and Mission in Action
- Minimum 10 years' demonstrated experience in Reward and Recognition, with at least 5 years in a Reward Leadership role
- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business, or Commerce
- Demonstrated experience managing, supporting, and motivating teams
- Ability to communicate complex data insights clearly and concisely
- Significant influencing and stakeholder management skills
- Highly relational with ability to build rapport quickly
- Commercially astute professional
- High attention to detail, practical, and results-oriented
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experienced in major project development and implementation
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience using PayScale, Workday, and Mercer Grading System
- Prior experience in aged care or health sector, and/or not-for-profit experience
