Role for Support Worker within Shared Living Team

About the Role
We are seeking a Support Worker to join our shared living team. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting and empowering people with disability to live a life of their choice. You will work in a team environment and independently, providing a range of services to assist clients to live independently, be actively involved in their local community, and engage in meaningful opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Supporting our clients to live as independently as possible by assisting with activities of daily living, including menu planning, cooking, and cleaning.
Supporting clients with personal care needs and assisting with medication.
Supporting clients to live an active lifestyle and participate in their community through the delivery of person-centred programs.
Working to behaviour support plans by utilising positive behaviour strategies.
Communicating with families about clients' progress.
About You
We are looking for someone who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of people with disability. You will be a positive and energetic person who wants to contribute and provide exceptional support to our clients. You will be part of a fun and dynamic environment, and you will be able to demonstrate the ability to engage, communicate, and build partnerships with people.
Experience in the Disability sector is essential. You will be able to support others with personal and hygiene care and be happy for this to be part of your job. You will demonstrate personal qualities of resilience, empathy, and self-confidence. You will have high levels of enthusiasm, initiative, and a positive attitude while acting with integrity, honesty, and respect.
