About the Role

The Group Facilities Manager is responsible for strategic management and operational oversight of facilities across multiple states.

This role ensures that sites, buildings, plant, and equipment are safe, compliant, and optimised for operational efficiency while supporting the company's goals and workforce needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily management of all facilities ensuring optimal functionality, safety, and appearance.
  • Develop and implement preventative and reactive maintenance schedules for buildings, plant, equipment, and infrastructure.
  • Ensure facilities meet WHS, environmental, and statutory compliance requirements.
  • Source, negotiate, and manage service contracts for cleaning, security, building maintenance, waste management, and utilities.
  • Monitor contractor performance ensuring works are completed to standard on time and within budget.
  • Plan and oversee facility upgrades refurbishments and relocations.
  • Prepare business cases budgets and project timelines for capital works.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure projects meet operational needs.
  • Develop and manage annual facilities budgets across all sites.
  • Track and report on expenditure identifying cost-saving opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate asset registers ensuring lifecycle management strategies are in place.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant building codes regulations and safety legislation.
  • Conduct regular inspections audits and risk assessments.
  • Oversee emergency preparedness and business continuity measures.
  • Drive energy efficiency waste reduction and sustainability initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities for process and systems improvements in facilities management.
