Strategic Leadership Manager for Family Violence Initiatives

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic professional to join our team as a Strategic Leadership Manager for Family Violence Initiatives. This critical leadership role will oversee the operational management of all services within the portfolio, ensuring effective, efficient, and compliant service delivery to those impacted by family and domestic violence.
This position will also provide specialist knowledge and expertise in Family Violence practice to lead the development and implementation of national service delivery plans frameworks and practice that ensures innovative and client-centred service delivery.
Reporting to the General Manager, this is a permanent, full-time position based in Tasmania. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of others through their career contribution.
Key Responsibilities- Operational Management: Manage Governance, Risk Management and mitigation, contractual and accreditation requirements.
- Team Leadership: Lead the development of strong, resilient, and qualified teams of social service professionals who are equipped to deliver high-quality services. Foster a positive and collaborative work culture to enhance team performance.
- Funding and Contract Management: Identify and pursue new funding opportunities to support and expand service delivery.
- National Project Management: Create National Frameworks for implementing the Model of Care. Lead reviews of key aspects of service delivery across the national landscape. Establish and integrate national-level practice partnerships within the Family Violence Stream.
- Sector Involvement: Collaborate with colleagues nationally and across service streams to contribute to national policy development and advocacy efforts. Represent the organization in meetings and forums within the sector.
- Experience in active membership in community or government bodies within the Family Violence Sector.
- A Working with Vulnerable People Check.
- Degree in Social Work or a related field. Business degree or equivalent management experience desirable.
- Significant hands-on experience in social services, including a proven track record in management and leadership roles.
- Strong understanding of family and domestic violence service delivery and sector trends.
- Excellent strategic thinking, decision-making, and leadership abilities.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with experience in managing relationships with key stakeholders.
- Ability to adapt to and lead change within a fast-paced environment.
