The role of a part time Admin Officer in the Emergency Department is multifaceted and requires a highly skilled individual who can provide excellent patient service while ensuring efficient registration and administrative support.
">About The Role
As an Admin Officer, you will be responsible for welcoming patients and visitors at the reception desk, directing them to the appropriate area or person, and personally attending to their needs. You will also be required to work on a rotating 24/7 roster, ensuring that the department operates smoothly and effectively at all times.
This role requires exceptional interpersonal skills, as you will need to communicate effectively with patients, staff, and other stakeholders. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to multitask are also essential, as you will be required to prioritize tasks and manage competing demands.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure reception desk is kept tidy and presentable and is attended to at all times.
- Register patients in a timely manner
- Support the Patient Liaison & Admission teams where required and assist with the admission of patients from Emergency into the Hospital.
Requirements:
- Certificate III in Health Administration or 2 years' experience in health administration roles (preferred)
- Ability to work 24/7 rotating roster
- Understanding of medical terminology would be an advantage
