About the Role

We are seeking a skilled IT Helpdesk and Field Technician to join our team at JP Smith Recruitment & HR. As a Field Technician, you will be the primary technical support for our clients, either on-site or online/phone.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues on-site or remotely
  • Provide level 2/3 technical support over the phone and escalate where needed
  • Manage and troubleshoot Hyper-V environments
  • Understand and troubleshoot DNS issues
  • Communicate effectively with clients and provide excellent customer service
  • Work with a team to provide whole-of-business IT support
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest IT technologies and trends
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in a level 2 or higher helpdesk role
  • Proficiency in managing and troubleshooting Hyper-V environments
  • Solid understanding of DNS and experience in troubleshooting DNS issues
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Technical understanding and interest in providing whole-of-business IT support
  • Familiarity with Microsoft systems including the Microsoft 365 cloud suite
  • A valid Australian driver's licence (Class P or Open) and vehicle
  • A quiet and professional work space for remote work
  • Ability to apply safe work practices when troubleshooting networking and internet issues
