Senior Civil Engineer Job Description

Job Description:

The Senior Civil Engineer will play a key role in leading and managing multidisciplinary teams, overseeing the design, engineering, and implementation of water and wastewater treatment plants, reservoirs, pump stations, and conveyance pipelines.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of safety in design, constructability, and operational practices, as well as relevant Australian standards and WSAA codes.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or closely related field
  • Significant years of experience in water and wastewater treatment and/or hydraulic and conveyance design
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to travel on occasions
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects on time and within budget
  • Develop and implement project plans and schedules
  • Conduct site investigations and review design requirements
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide solutions
  • Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders and team members
