The Opportunity

We are seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join our multidisciplinary water team in Newcastle. The ideal candidate will have experience in designing water and wastewater treatment plants, reservoirs, hydraulic structures, pump stations and conveyance pipelines.

Strong client relationships and communication skills are essential for success in this role. You will be working as part of a supportive and inclusive environment that values diversity and continuous improvement.

What We're Looking For

You will have:

  • A bachelor's degree in civil (structural) engineering
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in water and wastewater treatment and/or conveyance design
  • Knowledge of safety in design, constructability and operational practices and relevant Australian standards and WSAA codes
  • Ability to identify project and design related risks
  • Experience in managing small to medium engineering design projects
  • A commitment to working safely within the company's HSEQ systems
  • Strong problem-solving skills with collaboration across a multidisciplinary team
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
