We are currently looking to expand our team with a positive, driven and experienced Water Treatment/Dewatering Leading Hand. This position reports directly to the Water Services Manager and assists in coordinating site activities, client liaison and water treatment plant performance. This role is both site and office based, requiring occasional hands on capabilities and team leadership skills.

Mandatory Requirements

MUST BE AVAILABLE TO WORK AWAY FROM HUNTER REGION IN NSW & QLD – GENEROUS TRAVEL ALLOWANCE PAID

Managing the Operation / maintenance and associated building of dewatering and water treatment systems - 3 years min experience;

Lead by example implementing the construction, operation and maintenance of water treatment plants;

Experienced with either a full trade and/or degree qualification – Areas of competence may include but not limited to: Electrical, Plumbing, Environmental/Waste Management, or other related Engineering/Science qualification – or have proven practical experience

Currently holds, or willing to acquire, a Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) Construction Induction White Card (or equivalent state alternative);

Enthusiastic, well-presented with the ability to communicate effectively – must fluently speak, read and write in English;

Ability to rapidly acquire new skills and not afraid to take on operational tasks when required;

Detail orientated, pragmatic and solutions driven - Ability to interpret plans, diagrams, manuals, problem solve issues, communicate and implement required rectification measures in response to system performance requirements;

Ability to maintain accurate record keeping including client reporting, review of Water Treatment daily logs and analytical test results;

Well-developed knowledge of pumps; mechanical, electrical and process control systems including telemetry and remote data systems;

Sound knowledge and understanding of chemical dosing systems;

Knowledge and awareness of WHS rules and regulations, including a sound knowledge of safe working practices;

Demonstrated knowledge of Quality Assurance procedures and practices.

Experienced in matters concerning water quality and management principles, including an understanding of Australian Water Quality Guidelines and Regulatory discharge requirements;

Ability to quickly adapt to new technologies;

Exposure to materials handling, sludge dewatering, WTP/STP operations, hazardous materials and waste management an advantage;

Experience in water testing including the use of standard field equipment, tests, methods, procedures and protocols.

You will need to be a reliable, trustworthy and hardworking individual

An enthusiastic team player with attention to detail, strong client engagement skills and experienced in managing teams

Willing to be exposed to the company's other demolition, civil construction and remediation projects.

Willingness to use your hands on site when required
