Job Summary

This is a key role in delivering complex defence projects that safeguard Australia's future.

The successful candidate will support the delivery and sustainment of Defence High Frequency Communications System (DHFCS) capability under the SHFC Program, contributing to operational and strategic product management.

Main Responsibilities
  • Assist with budget, finance, and sustainment activities
  • Support analysis and implementation of product management strategies to optimise Defence asset use
  • Manage relationships with contractors to ensure timely communication on project requirements and risks
  • Participate in acquisition program activities and working groups
  • Provide feedback on deliverables and assist with transition tasks
Requirements
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project planning tools
  • Experience working in fast-paced project environments with cross-functional teams, ideally from within the Defence industry
  • Knowledge of One Defence Capability System (ODCS) and Defence policies
  • Ability to lead, coach, and support teams through strategy and change initiatives
