We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Companion Animals Community Outreach Officer to join our team at MidCoast Council. As a key member of our Environmental Health and Regulatory Services Department, you will play a vital role in promoting animal welfare and community education.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of animals and the community we serve. You will be responsible for assisting with community engagement and education initiatives, operating our animal pounds, promoting rehoming programs, educating the community on responsible pet ownership, and supporting enforcement and reporting activities under the Companion Animals Act.

To succeed in this role, you will need to demonstrate a strong passion for animal welfare and community education, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. We value candidates who are accountable, honest, and able to engage positively with the community.

This is a permanent, full-time position working 38 hours per week. The salary package is estimated at around $60,950 per annum plus superannuation. A
